The beginning of our hike up to Eze Village

Eze is a medieval village sitting high above the coast line, sort of as an eagle’s nest overlooking the French Mediterranean.  This tiny village is famous for its beauty and charm with numerous shops, galleries and restaurants.  At the recommendation of friends we decided to make a day trip from Monaco to check it out for ourselves.

We took the #100 bus that runs from Monaco to Nice, one of the picturesque drives along the French Riviera and got off at the Eze sur Mer stop.  There was the option to take another bus #83 up to the top, however, consistent with our newest hobby, we decided to hike both up and down the mountain.  We climbed over 1400ft in altitude with my GoPro in hand to share the adventure as well as our usual cameras, ”shot on iphone 6,” for the photos.  We hope you enjoy!
